Meet The Princpals Graham & Roger

Profile & Overview

Meet Graham Brunton

Graham Brunton Racing (GBR) is one of Scotland’s most established and respected single-seater motorsport teams, operating from their long-standing base at the iconic Knockhill Racing Circuit. With several decades of experience in developing young driving talent, the team has built a reputation for professionalism, technical expertise, and a strong commitment to driver progression. GBR’s roots lie in national single-seater categories such as Formula Ford, where they refined their approach to nurturing emerging racers and supporting them through the early stages of their motorsport careers. This deep foundation in grassroots racing made GBR’s move into the GB4 Championship a natural evolution, allowing the team to apply their knowledge to one of Britain’s leading junior racing series.

Since joining the GB4 Championship in its inaugural 2022 season, Graham Brunton Racing has achieved race wins, podiums, and consistent competitive performances. Their 2023 campaign saw them finish fifth in the Teams’ Standings, demonstrating their ability not only to develop drivers but also to compete strongly against experienced national teams. GBR continues to attract talented young drivers from the UK and abroad, including Canadian racer Mayer Deonarine, who returns to the team for the 2025 season following a successful spell in 2024.

The organisation benefits from strong logistical capabilities, technical support expertise, and a long history of managing race programmes across multiple championships. Although some detailed team information is not publicly accessible through the GBR website, the team’s presence within the British motorsport landscape remains clear: they are a dedicated, development-focused outfit committed to offering drivers a competitive platform and a professional environment in which to progress.

Meet Roger

Roger grew up in the motor trade, as his father had a few garages in Essex, so he was always around cars when he was a boy. In 1958, his father sold the businesses and bought a farm in Norfolk to take early retirement to pursue his interest in horses. Roger continued to work in the motor trade, serving out his apprenticeship training scheme in a number of dealerships, learning all aspects of the trade.

On 12th June 1972, he purchased Harvey & Duffield in Long Stratton, now known as Stratton Motor Company.  His passion for Aston Martin meant that in 1976 he was appointed as a service dealer for Aston Martin, and shortly after became a distributor.

Alongside this, Roger has also enjoyed a career in motor racing, from rallying to Heritage Touring Cars and up to GT4 racing. He has driven on circuits across Europe and the UK. Back in the 90s and early 00s, he ran a successful race series for old touring cars and over the past years has run many cars in various championships and series.

Alongside his love for cars, Roger has also been a pilot for many years, flying both fixed-wing and helicopters.
